Russian upper house approves de-ratification of nuclear test ban treaty
The upper chamber of the Russian parliament on Wednesday approved a law withdrawing Moscow’s ratification of the global nuclear test ban treaty, the final stage before it goes to President Vladimir Putin for signing. The Federation Council approved the law by 156 votes to zero. (Reuters)
AirAsia parent plans to raise more than $1 bn in debt, equity
Capital A Berhad, the parent of AirAsia, is planning to raise more than $1 billion in debt and equity, and will list some of its businesses through a blank-cheque company, the Financial Times reported on Wednesday. Capital A CEO Tony Fernandes has agreed to a deal with Aetherium Acquisition, a special purpose acquisition company, and plans to list several businesses through it next year, the FT reported, citing two people familiar with the deal. Amazon Web Services to launch European sovereign cloud
Amazon Web Services (AWS) announced on Wednesday that it will introduce a sovereign cloud in Europe for use by the government and clients in sectors with strict regulations. According to a statement from Amazon’s cloud computing division, the sovereign cloud will use servers housed in the European Union to store data, and only EU citizens working for AWS will be in charge of managing operations and providing assistance.
Fire breaks out in chemical factory of Gujarat
Early this morning, a huge fire started at a chemical factory in the Aravalli neighborhood. More than 60 chemical-filled tankers were destroyed in the incident. The cause of the fire has not yet been determined. Ten fire fighters are on the scene to put out the flames. Waiting on more information.

Sumit Antil wins gold in Asian Para Games

Fire breaks out at Maharashtra Dying factory
On Tuesday late at night, a fire started at the Maharashtra Dying facility in Bhiwandi city, according to officials. Additionally, sources claim that it is believed that the fire started as a result of a boiler explosion. According to officials, the fire started in the industrial grounds behind Baghe Firdos Mosque in Bhiwandi and quickly spread to the neighboring building.
