BOE and two BBK brands—Oppo and OnePlus recently held a press conference in China where the company detailed on the upcoming OnePlus devices and what to expect.
BOE, one of the world’s display manufacturing giants, has unveiled plans to power up the OnePlus 12 and OnePlus Ace 3 with the latest LTPO OLED displays dubbed “X1 Oriental Screen”.
Moreover, OnePlus 12 will sport a 1440 x 3168 pixels resolution screen while the OnePlus Ace 3 will feature a 1240 x 2772 pixels resolution. Both panels will provide a peak brightness of up to 2,600 nits and will be paired with Oppo’s P1 display chip, so yes sister company Oppo is also in for contribution. These new panels have been awarded an A+ certification by DisplayMate for their outstanding brightness and colour accuracy.
Recently developed panels by BOE feature sunlight highlighting algorithms and single-pixel calibrating technology, which ensures that each sub-pixel is individually calibrated, resulting in more precise colours and reduced grain.

BOE has also revealed that these new displays use 13 per cent less power compared to their previous models and have undergone tests that indicate they can last twice as long as OLED displays from competitors. Additionally, the panels excel in high-frequency PWM dimming and blue light filtering.
Digital Chat Station on Weibo says that the OnePlus 12 will feature a punch-hole display. If leaks are to be believed, then it would be a 6.7-inches display. The device is expected to release in January 2024 packed with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset.
